Mr. Kwabena Adjare Danquah is the founder and executive chairman of Metalex Group, a leading producer of metal and brick roofing materials, aluminum, clay, and plastic products in Ghana and the West African sub-region. Metalex has over 500 workers and two manufacturing centres in the heart of the city of Accra. Presently, Metalex Group exports products to West African countries including Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc.Mr. Adjare Danquah also owns Macsteel Ghana Ltd and the Obuoba Group, a collection of companies that include a hotel, a roofing entity, an alcohol distillery, FM station and other major businesses located in South Africa. Currently, Mr. Adjare Danquah is expanding his business conglomerates into education with the establishment of Metalex Institute of Technology and Tourism (MITT) based in Accra and Mpraeso. Presently, MITT has introduced a one to five day intensive artisanship courses such as block laying, steel bending, electricals, plumbing and others for ordinary persons on the street and students of Ghana's Free Senior High School Policy to acquire skills and earn decent living in the event they are unable to gain tertiary education.
